ESG Innovation
Planned, organised and ran a two day innovation session for the Global heads of ESG & Sustainability who were looking for some fresh thinking and new ideas. The aim of the session was to turn the clients problem statements into fully thought out solutions in just 48 hours.
Innovation Process
Problem Description
Working with the clients, we defined problem statements for each of our three teams. These were brought by the clients on the first morning, bringing a complete surprise to each of the teams.
Structured Ideation
With clear problem statements I guided the teams through a structured design thinking and ideation session. Made up of a number of exercises building on each other to step through the design thinking process.
Idea Consolidation
Using the ideas generated, the teams joined, improved and discarded their ideas into a final solution they were happy with. Putting this into a solution canvas to provide an overview of the drafted product.
Feedback & Discussion
This session allowed the teams to playback their ideas to one another. A key opportunity to get outside opinions and invite challenges, comments and collaboration to take onboard.
Solution
Build Out
Taking the feedback onboard, the teams finalised details and built out their innovative ideas. This involved an overview of what the idea is, how it would work for the client and what the key benefits would be.
Stakeholder Presentation
Finally after the teams had been taken through the complete process they presented their ideas back to the client stakeholders. Providing an opportunity to hear how their initial challenges had come to life in 48 hours.
Outcome
The clients thoroughly enjoyed the two day event, even attempting to bring along more colleagues to hear the outcomes on the second day. The energy and creativity could be felt throughout the sessions and truly contributed to the generation of some excellent ideas. Wrapping up with three teams presenting back their finalised solutions at the end of the two days.
